Summer:

The summers in Stanley, Idaho are filled with energy and adventure and are perfect for your romantic Idaho getaway. Some of our favorite activities include rafting, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, biking, and spending time out at Redfish Lake on the beach. There are many great places to eat all within walking distance of the Inn, or take our complimentary shuttle out to Redfish Lake to enjoy a meal at Limbert’s in the historic lodge right on the shore of Redfish Lake. There are street dances and live music all summer long. Summer in the Sawtooths sparks life lived as it should be with adventure, less tech, and quality time.

Winter:

Besides all the snow, scenery and stillness one of our favorite things about winter in Stanley, Idaho is the incredible winter dining that is at the Inn! The winter is a great time to go check out all the hot springs in the area, or sign up for a private soak in our hot tub. Our favorite activities include backcountry skiing, fat biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and hiking into Redfish Lake.

The winters in Stanley are a perfect paradise. Check out some of the neat events happening in the winter, like the famous Stanley Winterfest, hockey tournament, and Sawtooth Outdoor Bonspiel. The winter is paradise for romantic getaways in Idaho.

Fall:

This is our favorite time of the year! Nearly all of the great summer activities are available, but with less hustle and bustle. The daytime temperatures remain in the 70’s and fall is truly heaven! Perfect for beautiful hikes, and quality time spent outside with your loved one on your romantic getaway.

Spring:

Spring comes late in the Sawtooths, starting in May, and goes through the middle of June. The rafting is at its biggest this time of year and is an absolute blast! The sandhill cranes come back to their summer home, and the scenery is spectacular. The wildflowers start to bloom in mid-June.

Many of the high elevation hikes still have a lot of snow, but the lower elevation hikes like Bridal Veil Falls, Fishhook Creek and Boundary Creek Ridge are open and provide incredible views.

The Stanley High Country Inn is open year-round, and truly is one of the most romantic getaways in Idaho in any season! For more information on potential activities on your romantic getaways in Idaho, check out our things to do page
